Ethiopia Bench-Maji “Purple Prelude” Late-Harvest Natural Geisha
An elegant symphony of rich purple fruits and honey sweetness in your cup.

Located in southwestern Ethiopia, Bench-Maji is celebrated as one of the ancestral birthplaces of the Geisha variety. Its pristine, untouched forest ecosystem provides a pure and natural environment for coffee trees to thrive.
This lot undergoes a specialized “Late-Harvest Natural” process, demanding exceptional patience and harvesting craftsmanship from the farmers. By intentionally extending the maturation time of the coffee cherries on the tree, the fruit accumulates higher sugar content and a greater concentration of flavor before being meticulously hand-picked. During the sun-drying process, the natural sugars from the fruit pulp and the aromatic nuances of natural fermentation harmonize with the bean’s intrinsic character—elevating Geisha’s delicate floral and fruity notes into a richer, fuller, and distinctively purple-hued profile.

The dry aroma immediately bursts with striking notes of pineapple honey and subtle, intoxicating hints of strawberry liqueur. On the palate, bold purple grape nuances unfold alongside the crisp, refreshing sweet-tart balance reminiscent of Aomori apples. As the cup cools, the flavor seamlessly evolves into a delicate, warm honey sweetness, leaving a long, elegant aftertaste.
Overall, the flavor profile is a multi-layered, elegant, and grand prelude of rich purple tones.
